Administering the PSAT 8/9, PSAT 10 and PSAT/NMSQT with Accommodations

Before a student can take the PSAT 8/9, PSAT 10 and PSAT/NMSQT with accommodations, they must have approval from SSD.

Sign in to your SSD Online dashboard.

  1. Choose the appropriate accommodation.

Accommodations approved by College Board may differ from accommodations approved by the school.

Learn what accommodations are provided by College Board for information on frequently requested accommodations.

  2. Order special test formats.

Test coordinators can order special formats that best match students’ accommodations. These formats include braille with raised line drawings, contracted, large-print materials, reader’s script (text or prerecorded audio), prerecorded audio (MP3 via streaming), and others.

Select the appropriate formats when you place your initial order. You can also add accommodated formats to your order later by clicking the Order button on your dashboard.

  3. Test prerecorded audio (MP3 via streaming) applications.

If you have a student approved for prerecorded audio (MP3 via streaming), be sure to test the streaming application before the day of the exam. The prerecorded audio (MP3 via streaming) application may be accessed from SSD Online. Contact SSD immediately if there are any problems.
